This was the last match of our B Division campaign, and we aimed to end it off in a high note.
Our goals were to:
1) Win
2) Play as a team throughout all 4 quarters
3) Have Fun
Well, we had a slow start to the match, defending poorly against the transition basket, with the opposing #9 breaking away to do many free layups. The first quarter ended 8-17 in their favour.
But we bounced back in the second quarter with some accurate shooting, including Weixuan's foul in three-pointer! We went on a 17-5 roll, ending the half at 25-22.
Things looked bright, but we suddenly seemed to run out of steam in the third quarter, letting #9 get his way again, and we were down 33-32 at the end of the third.
Somehow we didn't realise that the clock was running down in the fourth and didn't press the opposition, and lost the game 45-50 in the end.
It's the end of our season, but we'll be back next year.
On a side note, Ryan and Weixuan combined for a total of 7 three-pointers!
